Zetsurin Leeds practice Shukokai Karate, meaning ‘Way for all’.

Zetsurin is a safe and friendly place for adults and children to learn traditional karate in Leeds. For self-defence, fitness and fun!

Zetsurin Leeds is open to anyone interested in learning a new sport, getting fit, learning self-defence or who has ambitions of being the next karate kid. 
As a sport karate can help to develop strength, fitness , flexibility and spirit whilst at the same time increasing confidence and an awareness of self-defence. 

Zetsurin Leeds is affiliated to the English Karate Federation and also has a club based in Otley. 

  • 2-3pm – Children under 7 years (£6)

  • 2-4pm – Beginners All ages (£10)

  • 4-6pm – Intermediates/Advanced (£10)

Tutor Bio Classes at Zetsurin Leeds are taught by brother and sister, Kieron (3rd Dan) and Kylie Greeff (4th Dan).  Kieron and Kylie Greeff started karate in South Africa, under the guidance of Sensei Sandra Louw, who remains the only South African Female World Karate Federation World Champion. Kylie and Kieron on moving to Cape Town, trained under Shihan Chris Thompson, one of the four Heads of Kimura Shukokai International.  During this time both Kieron and Kylie competed at a National and International competitions.  In 2008, Kylie moved to Leeds to attend Leeds University and began training and teaching at Zetsurin Otley. Kieron followed suite in 2012 to attend Leeds Beckett University. Both Kieron and Kylie still compete regularly, but have recently put more focus on teaching. Kieron and Kylie have a passion for karate and not only as a sport but a way of life, and enjoy helping students of all levels achieve their own personal goals.
