At Dance Studio Leeds, we firmly believe that the benefits of learning to dance for young people cannot be under-estimated.

Dance provides a context in which they can develop a better understanding of themselves and others, improving their confidence, self-expression, creativity, fitness and overall well-being.

We are committed to sharing our love of dance with as many young people in and around Leeds as possible. Our qualified, DBS-checked and insured instructors provide a platform which allows your school, college, university or youth group participants to develop co-operative learning, healthy bodies and a genuine delight in the energy of dance. We ensure each child gets involved to the best of their ability regardless of age, class, gender, sexuality, physical ability, social, ethnic, religious or cultural backgrounds.

We offer a wide range of educational opportunities, including:
  • After school, lunchtime and evening clubs, classes and workshops

  • Youth troupe coaching

  • Show choreography and assistance

  • Project support

  • Dance teacher CPD

The Dance Studio Leeds instructor gave really specific feedback and the students seemed to all have a good idea of what to improve even without the notes afterwards. They really appreciated the small group training, and all seem happier with their practical.

- Louisa Clark, Carr Manor Community School

A HUGE thank you to Chris who came today to do a Street Dance workshop.
He was amazing! The children absolutely LOVED the workshops and the performing at the end of the day.

Chris was extremely accommodating and had a fantastic rapport with the children. All children were engaged, all enjoyed their session and the tips he gave them as well as the history was perfectly pitched.

They already want him to come back every week!! It’s something I think we may offer as a treat at the end of the year or indeed book again next year.

- Laura Nowak, Hovingham Primary Leeds

Dance Studio Leeds ran four, one hour street dance workshops at DISC’s Service User Conference. We had a large attendance, with different ranges of abilities and Katie structured her sessions to meet everybody’s needs. She interacted really well with each group and everybody left tired but smiling! The feedback we received from service users was fantastic!

- Ann Denton, DISC

Just want say a massive thank you to you all for today! It all went very well and the Haka workshops were definitely a favourite amongst the schools. It’s very much appreciated by all of us here at the Foundation

- Charlotte Jones, Yorkshire County Cricket Club June 2015

We (pupils and teachers) had a wonderful time being involved in the ‘Connect It’ dance project. Both performances were brilliant! A massive thanks to Tori – she was absolutely fabulous with the kids! All positive feedback from Ash Tree! Thanks once again!

- Lindsey Nicoll, Kippax Ash Tree Primary School July 2015

The students absolutely loved it and was by far the best workshop we’ve had for dance in the 5 years I’ve been here. I will definitely be in touch to ask about Sarah doing workshops in the future! Thank you once again for a throughly enjoyable day – she was extremely approachable with the students and worked them hard!

- Ella Daley, NEW College, Pontefract 2017

Superb! – Spanish lady but spoke good english. Teaching fantastic, children very engaged and managed to learn a dance routine. Very friendly and was not in a rush to get away. Happily answered childrens questions at the end.
