When did you start dancing?
I first started dancing when I was 9 or 10 years old. My mum took me, my 2 sisters and brother to lessons at Dennis Altmans school of dance in Leeds. I achieved medals in both ballroom and Latin dancing and also won awards in dancing competitions which took place annually in Castleford.
What is your favourite style of dance and why?
I love to watch the Argentine Tango. Regretfully, and especially as I love watching Strictly, I gave up the dancing lessons when I was about 14 because it wasnt the cool thing to do so I never learned that particular dance. Nowadays I love my tap lessons and enjoy taking part in the shows and tapathons.
Who inspires you to dance and why?
My dance teachers all inspire me to “keep dancing!” They make it look so easy and effortless and although I get frustrated at times trying to learn the routines I keep going for the fitness and fun of it all.
