This class is suitable for dancers with some prior experience with contemporary dance, and will work through roll downs, curves, plies, tendus, floor work and travelling. Advanced dancers are also welcome to attend as progressions for each exercise can be given to increase difficulty.

Whilst giving you a great work out, the class will help you gain an understanding of the technique behind the movements, improve body awareness, co-ordination, and musicality.

This class is not suitable for complete beginners to contemporary dance. If you’re looking for an Introduction to Contemporary Dance try our Tuesday Class with Charlotte.

Tutor Bio Olivia is a Leeds based dance artist currently at Leeds Beckett university studying contemporary dance. Olivia began training in ballet, jazz, musical theatre and acrobatics before joining Phoenix Youth Academy, where she found her passion for contemporary dance. Olivia is keen to explore her unique approach to physicality within her classes at Dance Studio Leeds and wishes to provide a safe space for everyone to move freely and enjoy the art of dance.
