Classes Zoe teaches:

What’s your dance background?

I started to dance when I was 2 years old and I don’t think I’ve ever stopped! I attended an Irish dance school, competing in regular competitions and also a performance school ‘Suzie’s Stage Kids’. I then began training at Ellis School of Dance where I completed Modern Jazz up to Intermediate Grade, Ballet up to Grade 5 and Freestyle Bronze Award.

I joined a youth group at The Dance Studio Leeds where my passion for performing really grew! We performed regularly around Leeds including Fresh, Breeze on Tour and Leeds Fringe. I also took part in 4 school shows at St. Aidan’s High School and received grade A’s in A level Dance and Performing Arts.

I graduated from Kingston University London with a 1st Class BA (Hons) degree in Dance.

My favourite modules included dance teaching and leading, dancing cultures, production project and access to dance.

In my 3rd year I was elected president of the dance society and competed in 5 teams – Jazz, Commercial, Hip hop, Latin and Contemporary and I loved it!! Alongside competitions we also organised fund raising events, showcases and I also set up a company called KD Entertainment.

What’s your favourite style?

I have 3 favourite styles: Hip hop/Commercial, Latin and Jazz. They’re all strong styles that I can really perform. I love learning all 3 but love to teach Jazz the best!

If you weren’t a dancer what would you be?

I’d be an architect! I love buildings and especially interiors. If it wasn’t a 6-7 year course at uni then I probably would’ve done that!

Where can we find out more about your classes?
