Work with award winning dancer Helena to develop your technique, tackle prop work and get to grips with more challenging routines in contemporary belly dance and in authentic Egyptian Oriental and Folkloric. We cover a different topic and routine each term. Suitable for those with some previous experience of belly dance.

Spring term (10 wks) – 5th May to 14th July (NO class 26th May)

Summer term (8 wks) – 28th July to 22nd September (NO class 25th August)

Autumn term (10 wks) – 13th October to 15th December

This class is in studio 3. Please make your way straight to Mill 3 on arrival.

Studio 3 is located in Mill 3 which is on the right hand side as you enter the car park down the ramp.

Additional Info Dates: Monday, 7.35-8.35pm Age Group: Adults (min. 16 yrs) Level: Improvers What to bring: Coined hip scarves provided so you can really get into it! Socks or suitable dance shoes (ballet shoes). Wear comfortable clothing that we can move around in easily like leggings and a vest top or t-shirt. No need to show your belly!! Award-winning professional belly dancer Helena is known for her infectious enthusiasm - and earthshaking shimmies! Specialising in the Egyptian style of belly dance, from classical to folkloric, Helena has 20 years experience under her shimmy belt and is also a qualified yoga instructor.
Helena has collaborated with Dance Studio Leeds since it first opened and offers belly dance courses, tasters, workshops and one to ones.
