This fun adult tap class will explore the basics of tap dance including traditional beginner steps such as shuffles, taps, riffs and basic rhythm exercises. Through a mix of exercises and routines to classic musical tracks like Top Hat to modern chart tracks, this class is suitable for beginners + with a basic knowledge of tap steps.

This class can be booked individually at £8.50 or with either of our Class Passes:

  • 6 Class Pass – £48 (expiry of 10 wks)
  • 12 Class Pass – £90 (expiry of 16 wks)

Have you ever wanted to perform on the stage in front of an audience? Now is your chance…

This course is for those interested in learning a routine in our Beginners Tap class with Ceris, to perform at our DSL Show on the 25th of November in Leeds.

This course is only open to those who are able to take part in the show on Saturday the 25th of November, so please do not book if you are unable to make or not interested in performing.

Our Beginners Tap Class will be joining forces with our Improvers Tap class for this years routines, therefore rehearsals will take place as follows:

  • 10th Oct-7th November – 8-8:30pm (just Improvers)
    8:30-9pm (Beginners & Improvers)
    9-9:30pm (just Beginners)

This will give each group chance to learn their own sections, and then work on putting them together with transitions, plus learning some full group sections.

  • 14th-21st November will be full group rehearsals with both the Improvers & Beginners for the full hour taking place at 8-9pm.

Tutor Bio Ceris has had a passion for dance since attending her first classes at a young age. Having completed her training at The Urdang Academy and Liverpool John Moores University, she has performed and taught at locations across the country. Ceris works in reception at DSL and teaches various classes, as well as teaching freelance in Yorkshire. Ceris has a real enjoyment for teaching and loves to see her students progressing and most importantly having fun! Ceris also loves performing, whether it be on stage, for events or on television and film.
